What's Up With Byrd Park

An up-and-coming neighborhood, Byrd Park has flown under the radar for many years. But it's no surprise that more people are starting to take notice. Bordered by the James River, multiple parks, Carytown, and the Fan, it's a central location that makes for a quick commute and a short journey to your favorite restaurant or bar. The area boats three lakes, a dog park, and home prices have not ballooned the same way other parts of Richmond has. The homes are generally smaller and make fantastic starter homes for first time buyers or for those looking to downsize from their mansions. If you currently live in a loft or an apartment these homes are fantastic investments and can be cheaper than rent! In the past size months home prices in the area have varied from from low $300's to as low as $119,00! Take a walk and check out the area. It's perfect for a romantic evening walk, a run with your dog, or stroll getting away from the busyness of everyday life.

FUN FACT: Byrd Park was once named Reservoir Park and was once surrounded by Richmond's streetcars!
